I’m very pleased to announce that the forthcoming album from Jim Riley’s Blues Foundation is to be released on my own label, Trouserphonic Records early next year. This will be the first non- Groovy Uncle/Suzi Chunk record for the label since we began self releasing in 2013. The project is the brainchild of Medway music legend and former Wipeout (among others) frontman Jim Riley and his backing band are Dave Read, Matin Bishop, David Arnold and Stuart Ellis of the highly regarded Medway band The Claim. I’m due to begin shooting a promo video for the album very soon. I will keep you posted!
In 2014 we released the ‘Persuaded’ album on CD and Vinyl. 100 of the vinyl copies were issued as a ‘special edition’ package which included a numbered lyric sheet, poster, postcard, envelope containing screen printed ‘spy movie style’ redacted note, wristband and numbered lyric quote (exclusive to each ‘field agent’). All packaged a brown, individually screen printed ‘Eyes Spy’ bag! There are currently only 6 of these special editions left and there won’t be a re-run so get yours while you can!
Our brand new album, ‘A Clip Round The Ear’ is out and available from this website on shiny GREEN VINYL and CD. The first 100 with lyric/colouring -in sheet, postcard and green balloon are going fast! For those of you who prefer to download, you can do so at Amazon and iTunes etc. All our previous releases are available here at the website including the Special Edition Vinyl Package of “Persuaded” of which only 7 copies remain. Once they’re gone they’re gone so get your copy now! We were very pleased to hear Gideon Coe at BBC6 Music play a track from the new LP – “The Moon And Back”- on his show last week. Reaction to the album thus far has been most encouraging.
